Thematic Workshop: Applications of emerging technologies in health science

29/01/2020 @ 9 h 00 min - 18 h 00 min

The “Applications of emerging technologies in health science” thematic workshop will take place on Wednesday January 29th: join us and gain insights into how state-of-the-art technologies are getting more and more intertwined with biomedical research. You will hear from 6 master’s students and from our two keynote speakers Dr. Cervantes (Membrane traffic and pathogenesis – institut Pasteur) and Dr. Gobaa (Biomaterials and microfluidics – Institut Pasteur). We will explore how technologies such as nanoparticles, organoids, micropatterning and microfluidics interfaces with cellular processes and responses, and how more computational tools can help generate and treat health data. We will try to convince you that, as Dr. Gobaa put it,“[…] establishing in-house bioengineering structures, where the most advanced tools are available and where biological and engineering projects can “co-evolve”, is needed for elegantly bridging both worlds”.
