The meeting Diversity and evolution of microbes and their viruses is organized to celebrate the scientific careers of Patrick Forterre and David Prangishvili, two of the pioneers in the field of Archaea and their viruses. After joining Institut Pasteur in 2004, they extended their studies to other microbial viruses, including bacteriophages and giant viruses of protists. The celebratory event will highlight the transformative impact of Patrick’s and David’s research on the fields of Microbiology and Virology and will be joined by nationally and internationally renowned colleagues (download the program).
