Dr Claude Forest, Ph.D., is a Research Director at Inserm and former Head of the Inserm unit 530 in Paris. His work is focused on nutrition, metabolism and gene regulation, with the emphasis on fatty acid metabolism in adipose tissue. He studies fatty acid re-esterification, glyceroneogenesis and the key enzyme in this pathway -PEPCK-C-, linking the dysregulation of this process to type 2 diabetes in obesity.
